In need of a good open source monitoring and trending solution

I'm in need of a good monitoring and trending solution... I don't really want to pay for something as they all generally are lacking in one area or another, so the ability to extend on my own is much preferred. I've been using nagios and Cacti and for what they are... they're quite good... however, I want something that does what they both do... in one. I have a few options I've looked at and installed... Zenoss looks awesome however... it just seems complicated from the start... didn't see any quick wizard or even a usable default setup. Just seems like alot of learning and study from the start... if I don't want to do that... none of my co-workers are going to either... and if I do... It will still be very difficult to explain and be usable for everyone else... I'd rather not... they seem to think nagios and cacti are difficult enough... cacti is fairly... but that's only if you really dig into it... the base setup after initially configured... is quite easy.
Anyway, Hyperic, Pandora FMS, and maybe a few others are next on my list to checkout... any others?
