My observation of the talking news heads....

January 27, 2010 Posted by mitch | media, thoughts | 0 Comments

So... I'm at home today watching baby Zoey, and I'm flipping back and forth between CNN and Fox News.... CNN spent a good 20+ minutes showing whats going on on Haiti. During that same time... Fox... Nothing but how the state of the union tonight is very critical for the Presidents reputation, even within his own party! There are things he has to say in order to keep the Dem's from turning on him... yeah... so CNN is showing the horrible situation in Haiti... and fox is bickering and FUD stirring. Then Fox moves on to the recall of the "faulty" gas pedals of 8 models of Toyota's. Basically saying Toyota is a HORRIBLE company for having a faulty product AND RECALLING IT. ie: THEIR FIXING THE PROBLEM!! at the cost they even stated of 8 million a week! It wasn't government mandated... it was done at their own accord. But some how this is bad... they show up outside a New York City Toyota dealer and act surprised when someone doesn't see it as a big deal... of coarse they don't put that person on camera, because he was looking for a hybrid, but as soon as they find a crazy lady that agree's that toyota is a horrible company, she gets a full minute to spout her bias moronic view. Her pedal stuck in her toyota camery and she hit a pot, making her an expert that should deserve some face time on the TV, that these cars should be taken off the market (which they were... as noted previously in the story) but they were even hinting that people should stop buying Toyota's all together? WTF Fox! Really... Your about as fair and balanced as an iceberg. ===== Update ====== Just heard commentator say that "American's" probably wouldn't be so against the Health Care Bill, if they just knew what was in it. I'm befuddled... WTF!!! I don't know of any other channel thats put more mystery and added more confusion over just what was in the bill other than Fox News... so... to answer his question... its because of you, you ass-hat...

Supreme Court Rolls back Campaign Spending Limits

January 21, 2010 Posted by mitch | politics | 0 Comments

Ok Republicans... Want something we can both be mad about? Want to talk about special interests? Want to know why I would have NEVER voted for McCain? Supreme Court Rolls back Campaign Spending Limits THIS is VERY upsetting. What it means to you and me? Well, any corporation now has the same rights in the eyes of campaign elections as you or I. And they have MUCH deeper pockets. Want your voice to be heard? Not likely to happen because WalMart will get special time with each and every politician that will take their money. When was the last time you could sit down with your senator and have their undivided attention? Oh and just so you know... Every Justice appointed by a republican... voted FOR this, Dems' appointments... were against. Just to make sure you know.

IT job satisfaction at an all time low

January 7, 2010 Posted by mitch | technology | 0 Comments

According to an article I found today... this is the case.. I would have to concur to a degree... I would however say that my "low" was more last year than this... As this one has been more of an upswing... slowly but up none the less. I still don't have the time any more to collect my thoughts and thoroughly research things as much as I would like. Also the reason I haven't rewritten my blog or changed the way it looks in years. However... this will change... soon. It may not be prettier... but I will have written it all... and... I will be modifying it and adding new as I see my own needs for it change.
