Doctors support a public option

So... The New England Journal of Medicine has a report showing the majority of doctors support a public option... Atleast as many as 57.4% of doctors across the country from all specialities supported a public option. I wonder how many against it, know what option really means...
Why would a Doctor support something that was going to make their job harder? (ie: get between them and their patient, as is claimed far to often.)
I can't believe people... all against it, until your the one in need of medical care and can't pay for it or get *gasp* denied. First place you'll run to is Medicare isn't it? I would...
