Well if you didn’t catch the Republican National Debate (neither did I, I’ve been catching pieces of it on YouTube.) you really should read more about it. What was said and what not. And frankly I’m appauled at what all but one of them said. What has become of Republicans? They are war monger, torturous, hippocrits. That will almost in the same breath utter that they do these things for god and Jesus. I could be a bit rusty on what Jesus taught in the Bible, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t about torture and war mongering. And don’t even start trying to argue that if we don’t beat them there, they’ll come here. Because that is bull shit, and has absolutely no basis on a little thing call “facts”. These are sentiments argued by are fearless leader and his minions of soulless advisors, that are meant to cause nothing but Fear, Uncertanty and Doubt. One of which, by the way, is investing in the *decline of the dollar*(Yes, our Vice President Dick Cheney himself, do some googling you’ll find it).
Just when I’ve lost all faith in the Republican Party, a diamond in the rough appears. Senator Ron Paul (who also happens to be an MD). Look him up, do some googling on him, heck look on youtube and watch him in the Republican National Debate. Hes amazing! We need more statesmen like Ron Paul! This is why I signed the below petition, I hope you will too.
Hi,
I wanted to draw your attention to this important petition that I recently signed:
“Stop Ignoring Ron Paul”
http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/RonPaul08?e
I really think this is an important cause, and I’d like to encourage you to add your signature, too. It’s free and takes less than a minute of your time.
Thanks!

Well, if you didn’t think Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was a complete and utter moron before. Check out his latest showing of complete incompetency. He now wants to put people in jail “for life”, when “thought” to have committed copyright infringement. Thats correct, I did write “thought”, and so did he. You don’t actually have to be proven to have committed copyright infringement, they just need to believe you did, and show “thought” of committing copyright infringement. I just don’t know where to begin with this… I mean… this is completely ridiculous.
I’m so sick of Democrats “talking” about democracy like they care about it. Don’t even get me started on the vast majority of Republicans on the subject either. I’m so sick and tired of people being apathetic about government issues that cause them to not vote. There are enough non-voters in this country that all it would take is for them to vote for someone that is exactly the opposite of everyone else that is running, Ron Paul comes to mind. Or the new crazy Democrat from Alaska. At this point I’ll take either. They should be able to swing the pendulum back in the opposite direction. Something… I really don’t know how much longer I can take all this BS.

I regrettably didn’t make it down to the BYU Alternative Commencement Ceremony last Thursday. But thanks to Pete Ashdown for publishing it on his website. Also listed is a transcript of Pete’s speech that he gave, and I must say it was amazing. The whole ceremony was great. I do just want to put an awesome quote from Pete’s speech:
Today, insurgents, radicals, extremists, the ignorant and the insane have turned war into an entrepreneurial sport. We can no more fight teenagers using bombs and cell-phones with multibillion-dollar-aircraft-carriers and the latest jets than we can kill mosquitoes with a shotgun. If the Iraq war has taught me anything it is that our traditional methods of nation-state defense are currently useless against committed individuals. The inability to grasp this realization is what dates many politicians as dinosaurs in a modern world.
Pete also issued a challenge in his speech to Google “Iranian Blogs” as you may be surprised at what you find.
I’ve been doing some looking… and I find myself, surprised. They are just as Pete said. Go ahead and look for yourself, I even provided a link.
