Christmas is almost here, have you finished your shopping?

December 22, 2004 Posted by mitch | life | 0 Comments

I haven't... My wife and I have been so busy with her finals and finishing up her families christmas present... Money's also been a factor with it not getting done yet... Its been tuff the last couple of months for some reason. However, we're working through it. I will be finishing up my families presents today hopefully. Then there is the constant "what do they need? or want?" questions that are asked. I still have no idea what to get my dad. Anyhow, such is life right?

Bought a Digital Camera

December 15, 2004 Posted by mitch | life, technology | 0 Comments

We finally bought a digital camera! We've been thinking about it for atleast a year now, just haven't gotten around to getting one untill last friday. However, I believe it was worth the wait, the prices have come down some from last year, as before we were only looking at a 3.2 - 4 MegaPixel camera because they were in the $300 dollar range. However, I've read a bunch of reviews and seen nothing but positives for the Cannon PowerShot A95 5 MegaPixel camera. I love how the LCD flips out and rotates, and that was worth the extra $75 or so for the 5MP over the 4MP! I haven't taken many pictures with it, however, the ones I have taken have turned out really well. However they've been shrunk for web viewing :) Anyway, I hope to post more pictures soon. They should always be viewable from the link above. And I probably will make a section just for pics as soon as I get around to writing some kind of smarty template driven photo album.

Akira won't be having any little puppies

December 14, 2004 Posted by mitch | dog | 0 Comments

I took our dog Akira in to be spayed Monday. She tested to be no longer anemic so they went ahead with the procedure. When we picked her up at 5:30, she was barely coherent and wouldn't respond to her name. She threw up a couple of times throughout the night. Lucky me, I was up anyway with a migraine so I got to take care of her. It seems that her pain meds make her sleepy and or queazy. However, today we saw a big improvement in her attitude, shes almost back up to her normal self. Pictures of her can be seen (sorry, they are no longer on the web... don't know where they are). The first spay one is right after we got her home, the second is from about an hour ago.

How Stuff Works

How Stuff Works - I've seen this website before... however, I really just want to give it some props... because its something thats been really needed, puts alot of information in one easy place, and makes it easy to understand on top of that. I've also added the RSS feed to my news feeds... going to try to make it a goal to read one of them a day. Really cool stuff!

Flight of the Navigator

December 4, 2004 Posted by mitch | movies | 0 Comments

My wife and I were shopping at the best buy, and guess what movie we found? Flight of the Navigator! I used to watch this movie over and over when I was a kid. I loved it. It was one of my favorite movies as a child and last time I looked it up, it wasn't out on DVD yet. But we were just browsing the Disney section and we were about to leave, and I saw it on the bottom shelf! We were so excited and bought it and Spiderman 2. My wife's been so excited and shes just starting it up again for the second time today. Any way, I'm pretty excited myself, and I think I'm going to go watch... and hopefully talk my wife into letting me watch Spider-man 2 sometime tonight :)
